SINGAPOREAN TOURIST ATTACKED BY KOMODO DRAGON AFTER PROVOKING IT UNKNOWINGLY

A 50 year old Singaporean tourist got bitten badly by a komodo dragon in Indonesia’s Komodo National Park because he provoked it by going past the designated safe zone for people to watch the animals. He wanted to go closer so that he can take better photos of them.

He approached the animals despite warnings by the villagers there, which was what provoked the Komodo dragon into attacking him and biting his left leg.

The villagers rushed to carry him as he was bleeding profusely. He was taken to a nearby hospital and even wanted to save on medical costs by staying in the villagers’ homes for 3 days.

Do you think he was reckless? This is the first time in a long time that a tourist was attacked by a Komodo dragon.

Maybe he should invest in a better zoom lens.
