Singapore files written observations over Malaysia’s application to revise judgment on Pulau Batu Puteh

SINGAPORE: Singapore on Wednesday filed its written observations with the International Court of Justice over Malaysia’s application to revise a 2008 judgment that awarded Pulau Batu Puteh or Pedra Branca to the Republic.

In a statement on Thursday, Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the written observations are a “comprehensive rebuttal” to Malaysia’s application.

Said the ministry: “Singapore is confident of our case and our legal team.”

The next step is for both parties to present their oral arguments after the ICJ has fixed the schedule for the oral proceedings. – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
