BUTTERWORTH, PENANG (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK)- A woman drove into a canal in Taman Oi Leng Hoi, Sungai Puyu, after missing a turn during a downpour. Police smashed driving licence, road tax forgery ring in George Town

Police have crippled a syndicate forging driving licences and road tax stickers in Penang and Perak following the arrest of four suspects on Tuesday. Penang commercial crimes chief ACP Ramli Mohd Nor said the syndicate had been operating for the past eight years and could have raked in hundreds of thousands of ringgit. “They earn between RM100 and RM800 for each forged document, which takes about two weeks to produce,” he told a press conference at the state police headquarters here yesterday.
